General Look

This is a video-exposition of Goya's black paintings. Let me explain a bit everything:
Francisco Goya started making this "black paintings" (in spanish: pinturas negras) during his last years of live (1819-1823). The topics were haunting, creepy, focusing on the pintor's fear of insanity and his idea of humanity. I think it would be hard to make him laugh during these years. Most of the paintings have dark colours and shades, but some of them also offer to sight shades of blue and red. In the video it shows some of his most important black paintings:
.- The Fates
.- Fight with Cudgels
.- Fantastic Vision
.- Procession of the Holy Office
.- A Pilgrimage to San Isidro
.- Witches' Sabbath
.- Leocadia
.- Two Old Men Eating Soup
.- Heads on the Landmark
.- The dog
.- Judith and Holofernes
.- Men reading
.- Women laughing
.- Two old men
.- Saturn devouring His son (probably the most known and famous one)
